Photographer. Teacher. Speaker. Motivational Madman.

Over almost 24 years, I’ve photographed thousands of clients, including Oscar and Emmy award winning actors, notable writers, musicians, models, brands, and luminaries from business, technology and media. And many that are notable only for the beauty of their spirits and the light that they have brought to my studio. My photography has been featured in People Magazine, US Weekly, Angeleno, Beverly Hills Magazine, Forbes, The Hollywood Reporter, Artells, Variety, Realtor Magazine, Closer, LA Stage, LA Stage, Vigour, Moevir, and many more. Entertainment Tonight featured me as “The go-to guy for great headshots.” My work was also featured on my mother's refrigerator, which meant more.
My philosophy is that the “product” I make is imagery, but it is manufactured via experience and human connection. I believe that most photographers ask people to pose, and that my job is to get them to stop posing. And I am guided by the knowledge that, as Gibram said, “Beauty is not in the face, beauty is a light in the heart.” I was asked to give a TED Talk about this unique approach to portrait photography, and my work empowering my clients and my students. You can see that below.
As a coach and mentor, I’m a motivational mensch, pushing my clients to lead their best artistic and professional lives. This is what gives me the greatest sense of purpose. And it’s ALL about purpose. I’ve helped countless artists build and maintain healthy, financially rewarding and creatively successful practices. It is possible. I’m living proof.
